Shape Your Calling Into Reality
Creative Coaching is a process that I developed through my therapeutic work, years of spiritual direction serving both within the Episcopal church and the SBNR (Spiritual But Not Religious) community, and becoming a leading force in the International Labyrinth Movement.
People approach me because they have a recurring nudge that they don’t quite understand yet can no longer ignore. Many carry a vision they want to bring into the world to contribute to improving others’ lives. But they cannot stay in relationship to this revelatory process. The process of integrating from the imaginal realms to ground it on the earth in real time often raises psycho-spiritual issues including fear of failure, repeated patterns of giving up or losing focus, self-sabotage, fear of success.
These are not only creative issues, but spiritual issues.
I provide the needed ingredients of support, years of experience, a good listening ear, and the ability to untangle these psycho-spiritual issues through monthly or bi-monthly sessions via Zoom.
Is Creative Coaching Right for Me?
- Are you feeling you are not fulfilling your life’s purpose?
- Have you been putting aside these nudges even as they get more persistent?
- Do you feel envious of others who are doing their soul assignment?
Then, perhaps it is time to address this uneasy situation.

All my life I wanted to become a therapist. Now I’m successful but know there is another step I
want to take to have my life be more creative and artistic. I started to work with Lauren when I was truly stuck and am making definitive steps to change, enhance, and direct my work in this new direction.
After I grieved my mother’s death, I experience deep stirrings that I had lived her life, but not
mine. I began work with Lauren to discover what I wanted to do with MY life. I’m able to honestly say that I’m making real progress and am a much happier person.
Monthly Lauren and I have a chat and this helps me keep my focus, not only on my entrepreneurial business, but also to shape my retirement in the year ahead.
A Leading Force in the Modern Labyrinth Movement
The Reverend Dr. Lauren Artress is Canon Emeritus of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and the author of Walking a Sacred Path: Rediscovering the Labyrinth as a Spiritual Practice, and The Sacred Path Companion: A Guide to Walking the Labyrinth to Heal and Transform (Putnam/Riverhead Books, New York). Her latest book The Path of the Holy Fool: How the Labyrinth Ignites Our Creative, Healing and Visionary Powers is inspired by her thirty years of work with the Labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral.
In addition to her writings on the labyrinth, Dr. Artress is a spiritual guide, speaker and trainer, and the founder of Veriditas, a non-profit dedicated to introducing people to the healing, meditative powers of the labyrinth.
Veriditas is a 501c3 non profit incorporated in the State of California in 1995 by Lauren Artress. The word "Veriditas" originated with Hildegard of Bingen and means "the greening power of life".
Grace Cathedral is home to not just one but two labyrinths — and to the Modern Labyrinth Movement. We welcome you to our labyrinths as a walking meditation, a spiritual practice or simply an opportunity to calm the mind and enjoy peace, quiet and reflection.
The World-Wide Labyrinth Locator has been designed to be an easy-to-use database of labyrinths around the world.
